Investments tailored to your charity’s needs
Solutions focused on your charity’s objectives, for sustainable growth

How we invest on behalf of our charity clients
We manage portfolios for a broad range of clients across the charity sector, whose needs vary widely. Clients vary in size from £1m to over £300m, although our pooled funds allow charities with less than £1m to invest in our core strategies.
Some seek long-term investment strategies and can withstand volatility in the search for attractive returns. While in other instances we manage short to medium-term strategies, with some charities in full ‘spend-down’ mode.

We invest with a global scope, seeking out the world’s best thematic investment opportunities. Stewardship is embedded into the investment process, meaning that every stock we invest in is assessed from an ESG perspective.
Following a thorough investment review, we design and suggest investment strategies to suit your charity’s individual aims and objectives. We can implement strategies using multi-asset charity funds, funded portfolios built with single asset class funds or fully segregated strategies for complex mandates with specific requirements.
We manage a wide range of strategies on behalf of our charity clients, from those that facilitate the distribition of reserves over a finite period to endowments invested in perpetuity.

Sarasin Charity Authorised Investment Funds
In addition to bespoke solutions and single asset class funds, we offer three Charity Authorised Investment Funds (CAIFs): the Sarasin Endowments Fund, the Sarasin Income & Reserves Fund and the Sarasin Climate Active Fund.
These funds provide access to a wider range of asset classes while employing a strategic and tactical asset allocation process that can meet your specific growth and income requirements.
The Sarasin CAIFs operate a bespoke ethical policy, developed over many years of consultation and experience in the charity sector.
