With more than 30 years’ investment experience, Phil joined Sarasin & Partners in 2013 as head of the multi-asset team. In 2022, Phil was promoted to Chief Investment Officer of multi-asset. Before joining Sarasin, Phil worked at Newton Investment Management, where he was chief investment officer of the private clients and charities division. He has also held investment management roles at Capital House and Leopold Joseph. Phil is a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Tom Kynge is a portfolio manager on the Multi Asset and Sustainable Multi Asset fund ranges.

Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners Tom worked at Vanguard Asset Management in the Investment Strategy Group for 1 year as part of his degree course. Following graduation, he worked for Engelhart Commodity Trading Partners as a Risk Analyst and at Oxford University Press as a Commercial Finance Analyst.

Tom graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc in Economics.

Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners in 2017, Thomas worked for Standard Life Investments managing multi-asset and absolute return portfolios for corporate pension schemes and institutions.

He graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2011 with a degree in English Literature & Philosophy. Thomas is a CFA Charterholder®, a holder of the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), the CISI Capital Markets Program, and is a member of the UK CFA Society.

Thomas is a trustee of the Jeevika Trust, an Indian poverty relief charity seeking to implement smart technologies to address rural food scarcity & mitigate the impact of climate change.

Melanie joined Sarasin & Partners in 2011 and was appointed Head of Charities in January 2023. She has over 25 years’ investment experience and is responsible for the management of charity and private client portfolios.

Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners, Melanie spent 16 years at Newton Investment Management. She qualified with a degree in Modern Languages from Durham University and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Melanie is also a Non-Executive Director of the BlackRock Sustainable American Income Trust.

Subitha is responsible for long term investment strategy and tactical asset allocation.

Prior to joining Sarasin & Partners, Subitha worked at UBS in Zurich, Switzerland, as a Senior Economist for Asia in Global Markets Research and then as a Macroeconomist for Asia in Sovereign Research. She has been a project Director at the Center for Institutional Reform and the Informal Sector, Washington DC, USA and also worked as a research assistant at the World Bank’s Middle East Department.

Subitha holds a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College, Hanover NH, USA and an MA and Ph.D. in Economics from Duke University, Durham NC, USA.
