Sarasin & Partners has appointed Nikki Martin as co-manager of the Sarasin Global Dividend fund.
Martin, who has more than two decades’ investment experience at a host of reputable firms including Scottish Widows, GAM and BlueCrest Capital Management, joined the Sarasin & Partners team in 2021 from Trium Capital, where she managed a pan European neutral long/short UCITS fund.
The Sarasin Global Dividend fund invests in a high-conviction portfolio of 40-60 quality stocks. It aims to provide a good level of income that grows over time, along with long-term capital growth.
Alongside co-manager and head of global equities Jeremy Thomas, Martin will take a global approach to identifying high-quality, cash generative and sustainable businesses that are in a strong position to pay rising dividends well into the future.
Jerry Thomas, head of global equities and co-manager of the Sarasin Global Dividend fund, says:
“As we enter a period of tightening central bank policy, businesses across the world will need strong balance sheets and good free cash flow to navigate the increasingly volatile macroeconomic environment. With Nikki’s support and expertise, our strategy is well positioned to identify such businesses and continue delivering consistent income for our investors.”
Nikki Martin, co-manager of the Sarasin Global Dividend fund, says:
“I share the team’s conviction in the importance of thematic investing, particularly as the transition to a more digital, automated and sustainable world gains further traction. I look forward to unearthing attractive opportunities with the Sarasin & Partners team through 2022 and beyond.”
