Sarasin & Partners has appointed John Muir as business development director for Scotland, Northern Ireland and Northern England.
Muir, who has 27 years’ experience, brings deep expertise in business development, sales leadership and relationship management across the region. Most recently, he served as sales director at O-IM Investment Services, where he worked closely with professional advisers, wealth managers and business owners to drive sales. He has also held senior roles at firms including Baron & Grant Investment Management, Aubrey Capital Management and Rathbones.
Muir will further strengthen the deep relationships that Sarasin already has in the area and further develop new opportunities with professional intermediaries.
Muir’s appointment builds on a period of continued growth for Sarasin & Partners, including the recent launch of its Sarasin Retirement Income strategies, designed to help clients generate income in retirement whilst trying to preserve capital amid changing market conditions. Across the UK, Sarasin has also strengthened its regional presence, most recently with the hire of Aimee Searle as regional business development manager covering Wales and the South-West.
