BATSETA WINTER CONFERENCE 2023
JUNE 12-13 2023
SUN CITY RESORT, SOUTH AFRICA
12-13 JUNE, 2023 | 11:40 - 12:25 - Breakaway 2
Sarasin & Partners are supporting Batseta's Winter Conference.
Climate change presents retirement funds with unique challenges, but also opportunities.
As large asset owners, they can use their significant influence to press for changes that support sustainable growth. There is also value to be found in high-carbon companies’ transformation to more sustainable business models.
Join Natasha Landell-Mills – Head of Stewardship at Sarasin & Partners – for her presentation on how investors can make real-world impact and contribute to the decarbonisation of the global economy.
OUR FUNDS OFFERING
Sarasin & Partners has decades-long experience managing global, unconstrained, multi-thematic equity portfolios with US$23.2bn of assets under management (including US$16bn in global equities). We fully integrate ESG analysis and emphasize responsible stewardship aiming to achieve real world impact. We are fundamental bottom-up stock-pickers, and maximize idiosyncratic sources of returns across all our funds.
GLOBAL EQUITY
Our global equity funds registered for distribution in South Africa are all managed following the same team-based approach and investment process, but will have slight differences in how they are constructed.
NB: For information, the IE Global Equity Opportunities funds were aligned to our core process in May 2020. Prior to that they were run with a Macro overlay and targeting retail clients, so the track record is not representative of our institutional capability. The Responsible Global Equity Fund, however, was launched in 2011 and aligned with our core approach since. It differs in that it applies a thoughtful exclusions policy and can only invest in A, B and C-rated stocks as per our internal ratings.

Building on our core global equity expertise, we also manage a range of multi-asset funds, the Sarasin IE Multi Asset Dynamic, Strategic and Defensive funds.
STEWARDSHIP & ENGAGEMENT
At Sarasin & Partners, we consider ourselves long-term stewards of our clients’ assets.
We believe that investment has the power to grow and protect money in a way that benefits society. Our thematic investment approach, which identifies the long-term trends shaping the world, is complemented by our focus on stewardship. That is how we are securing tomorrow.
