Sarasin IE Global Equity Opportunities (USD)
A global equity portfolio which harnesses the best of our robust long-term thematic investment process, as well as medium-term economic trends
About This Fund
Drawing on our established thematic equity process, we seek to identify attractive companies using long-term themes that can result in responsible growth over the long term. Within this universe, the portfolio takes advantage of opportunities that arise through macroeconomic and policy developments over the medium term.
Our integrated ESG screening criteria ensures that stewardship is fully embedded in portfolio construction, and aids risk management.
Key Benefits
At the core of this fund is a distinctive thematic research and selection process, as well as an integrated stewardship approach and active long-term investment. We aim to enhance returns through opportunities that arise from macroeconomic developments.
This process, along with a prudent approach to valuation and risk, can deliver superior returns over the long term.
How we invest for this fund
We consider the lifecycle of companies and the competitive dynamics of their industries, alongside their expected performance relative to medium-term macroeconomic developments. Exposure to different themes and company characteristics contribute towards diversification in the portfolio. We do not target a specific investment style and are not constrained by an index or benchmark.
More specifically, the fund has a three-step investment process. Idea generation leads to stock-selection, following which we can construct a diversified portfolio.
